DECO INSPIRED COCKTAIL BAR.

THE DESIGN BRIEF FOR THIS PROJECT WAS TO CREATE A SOPHISTICATED AND INTIMATE BAR AREA FOR FREQUENT ENTERTAINING.

This luxurious bar was designed and handcrafted using the finest of materials. The combination of decorative veneers such as Santos Rosewood, Maple, and Birdseye Maple compliment one another and contrast beautifully with the black granite countertops.
The Bar itself sits slightly elevated and takes centre stage within this intimate lounge area of the Client’s home. The Cabinetry accommodates modern electrical appliances such as dishwashing, and wine refrigeration. There is storage within the bar for bottles and glassware and there is revolving interior carousel shelving within each of the circular shaped columns to the front of the bar. The design’s Deco feel and its sophistication is further enhanced with the inclusion of LED cabinet lighting throughout.

The Master Suite.

EN-SUITE DRESSING ROOM.

THE DESIGN BRIEF WAS TO PROVIDE BESPOKE FITTED DRESSING ROOM FURNITURE INCORPORATING EXTENSIVE STORAGE FOR CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES, A MORNING ROOM, AND EN-SUITE BATHROOM.

Comfort and convenience were key considerations when I was asked to design furniture for this space. Situated on the first floor of a large mansion house, the master bedroom suite is subtly divided into four areas. The “his and her’s” dressing rooms are flanked on either side by a morning room to the north and a bathroom to the south. Due to the suite’s proximity within the house every convenience was thought through for the owner’s comfort.

Within the Morning Room there is a tea and coffee making facility with the inclusion of a small sink and taps as well as a hot water boiling tap. Refrigeration is also concealed within the cabinetry as is  television and audio equipment.

The dressing room furniture has luxurious and extensive wardrobe and drawer storage and in particular suede lined niches for handbags. There are ample laundry storage and if the need arises a concealed ironing- board for occasional use.

The focal point of the bathroom is the elevated free-standing bath set against a curved wall of iridescent mosaic tiles. The vanity furniture has concealed pull-out bins as well as towel storage below.

Above the granite counter-tops there is further storage behind mirrored cabinet doors and also an Auquavision tv behind the large central mirror which can be viewed from the bath  well as the shower.
